1-4 Şubat 2024 tarihleri arasında İzmir Celal Atik Spor Salonu'nda düzenlenen Eurocup 1 Grup A Tekerlekli Sandalye Basketbol turnuvasının ilk gününde önemli bir ziyaret gerçekleşti. Almanya'nın İzmir Başkonsolosu Ralf Schröer, turnuvanın heyecanına ortak olmak ve desteklerini sunmak üzere Kulüp Başkanı Hüseyin Egeli ile bir araya geldi. Başkonsolos Schröer, İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübünün başarılarından ve topluma sağladığı katkılarından ötürü takdirlerini iletti. Kendisine görüşme esnasında anı plaketi takdim edildi. Başkonsolos maç sonrasında Alman takımı ile bir araya gelerek kısa bir sohbet gerçekleştirdi.

On the first day of the Eurocup 1 Group A Wheelchair Basketball tournament, held at İzmir Celal Atik Sports Hall from February 1 to 4, 2024, a significant visit took place. The Consul General of Germany in Izmir, Ralf Schröer, met with Club President Hüseyin Egeli to join the excitement of the tournament and express their support. Consul General Schröer conveyed his appreciation for the achievements of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club and its contributions to the community. A commemorative plaque was presented to him during the meeting. After the match, the Consul General had a brief conversation with the German team.
